After launching the Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3 earlier this year in May, Microsoft has now introduced them in the Indian market. Sadly, the Surface Book 3 is only available for commercial customers via commercial resellers.
As we've reported earlier, the Surface Book 3 is the higher-end laptop of the two. It comes in two sizes – 13-inch and 15-inch –and features a convertible design, allowing the user to detach the screen from the notebook and use it as a tablet. Further, it comes powered by Intel’s 10th-gen Core i5 and i7 processors, paired with Nvidia GTX 1650 GPU.
Some variants of the Surface Book 3, however, are equipped with NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 GPU squarely aimed at business and higher education institutions. Besides that, the laptop features up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB SSD. Microsoft claims that the battery life of the 13-inch variant is good for 15.5 hours, while the 15-inch variant should last around 17.5 hours.
Lastly, connectivity options on the Surface Book 3 comprise two USB-A version 3.1 Gen 2 ports, a single USB-C version 3.1 Gen 2 port, a Surface Connect port, an SDXC card slot, dual studio mics, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0. It also gets a 5MP 1080p front camera, along with an 8MP 1080p rear camera.
The Surface Go 2, meanwhile, comes powered by Intel Pentium Gold and 8th-gen Intel Core M3 processors, along with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB SSD. The base variant of the Go 2, sadly, comes with 64GB of inferior eMMC storage. The laptop is built around a 10.5-inch display with 1920 x 1280 pixel resolution.
It also gets a 5MP 1080p front camera and an 8MP 1080p rear camera, along with connectivity options, such as a single USB-C port, a Surface Connect port, an SDXC card slot, dual studio mics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a single Nano-SIM slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. As per Microsoft, the Surface Go 2 should last for around 10 hours on a single charge.
