Starting today, the refreshed Microsoft Surface series is available in India, after being on sale in other countries for about seven months. The series includes Surface Pro X, Surface Pro 7, and the Surface Laptop 3. Amid the Covid-19 lockdown, these laptops can be purchased via e-commerce websites if you reside in either the Green or Orange zone.
The Surface Pro X is the biggest highlight of the three. Microsoft says that Surface Pro X with a 13-inch edge-to-edge PixelSense display is the “thinnest, lightest, most powerful and most connected 2-in-1 laptop”. The 7.3mm thin gadget weighs 774 grams. It functions on the Microsoft SQ1 processor, which is made in alliance with Qualcomm. It is priced at ₹98,999 for the sole 8GB memory and 128GB SSD storage configuration with LTE connectivity. It offers 13.5 hours of battery life. Additional accessories such as the Arc Mouse, the Surface Slim Pen and Signature keyboard are sold separately.
The Surface Pro 7 has a 12.3-inch PixelSense Display with a resolution of 2736x1824 pixels and a 3:2 ratio. It supports Surface Pen. The laptop is powered by the latest Intel 10th-gen processor. The device comes in 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB LPDDR4x memory options and 128GB or 256GB of SSD storage options. It holds a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. It offers 10.5 hours of battery life and is available in two colours – Matte Black and Platinum. Additional accessories like the Arc Mouse, the Pen, and Signature Type Cover are sold separately.

The Surface Laptop 3 offers a conventional laptop design. It is available in 2 different sizes. The smaller option has a 13.5-inch PixelSense Display with 2256x1504 resolution whereas the bigger option has a 15-inch PixelSense Display with 2496x1664 resolution. Both the laptops come with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The former is available in two colours – Platinum and Matte black while the latter is available only in Matte Black.
The 13.5-inch model runs on the 10th generation quad-core Intel Core i5-1035G7 with 8GB LPDDR4x and 128GB SSD storage option. The 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 runs on quad-core AMD Ryzen 5 3580U processor with 8GB LPDDR4x memory and a 128GB SSD storage option. The 13.5-inch model is priced at ₹98,999 while the 15-inch model is priced at ₹116,999.
