With 2018 Mobile World Congress just around the corner, Japanese tech giant Sony has released a teaser video on its official Twitter account for its upcoming flagship device that will be launched on February 26.
While the teaser video does not disclose any specific details about the phone, earlier media reports said that Sony is planning to launch Xperia XZ2, as well as an Xperia XZ1 Compact successor at the MWC 2018.
The 23 second video shows ripples intersecting with the hand which we believe can be a hint for a new design language, Sony is planning or it could be a new form of haptic interface without any physical buttons.
The smartphone is expected to come with 5.7-inch OLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 845 processor accompanied by 6GB of RAM, 18MP primary camera sensor, 13MP front camera and 128GB of internal storage. Expect the device to be IP68-certified.
The company is also working on the successor of Xperia XZ1 Compact that could be launched as the Xperia XZ2 Compact with 18:9 aspect ratio and 5-inch display. Sony might also launch Xperia XZ1 Premium, Xperia XZ1 Plus, and Xperia XZ1S at the MWC 2018.
