Since the Download feature was launched in 2016 in Netflix, consumers have embraced that feature on larger basis whether they are commuting, traveling or just in a place with pricey or spotty internet access. The US-based streaming company has now introduced Smart Downloads in its app.
Now, when you finish watching a downloaded episode, Smart Downloads will delete it, and then automatically download the next episode.
‘We know how annoying it can be to go through all your apps and delete files you no longer need; we also understand that when it comes to Netflix, the faster you can get to the next episode you want to watch, the better. Whether it is smart downloading or viewing a mobile preview, we realise the best part of Netflix is connecting with the stories you will love in an easier and more fun way,’ the company said in a statement.
In September of 2018, Netflix partnered with cable TV provider Hathway to provide consumers easy access to Netflix through the Hathway’s set-top box. Hathway subscribers can pay for their Netflix subscription using their Hathway bill.
The Hathway set-top box is available at a price of Rs 2,999.
There are more details on how to use the Smart Downloads feature here and we hope you enjoy it! Smart Downloads is initially available on Android, iOS and Windows 10 Netflix app,’ the company added.
