Nokia’s upcoming flagship phone "Nokia 9" could come with a penta camera setup at the rear.

HMD Global-owned Nokia has announced a new hardware event scheduled for December 5 in Dubai to launch new smartphones. HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas tweeted #ExpectMore event via its Twitter account. While there is no official statement on the names of the phones, we believe the company may unveil Nokia 8.1, Nokia 2.1 Plus, and the penta-lens setup carrying Nokia 9 smartphone.

The image posted by Sarvikas indicated that two smartphones could have notches and according to earlier media reports, the Nokia 8.1 is expected to come with a notch. Additionally, Nokia 2.1 Plus is also expected to carry a notched display.

Nokia’s upcoming flagship phone "Nokia 9" could come with a penta camera setup at the rear. Bringing penta camera setup should not be considered something impossible given the fact that Huawei's P20 Pro already has three rear cameras, and rumours suggest that LG's next flagship will have a total of five cameras: Three on the back and two in the front.

As per the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) documents, Nokia 9 will reportedly come with Snapdragon 835, 5.5-inch OLED display and will be latest to join the Nokia line up which currently includes Nokia 8, Nokia 6, Nokia 2, etc.

The display of new device will be manufactured by LG, which will also make Nokia 9 first in the Nokia family to sport an OLED display. The FCC listing also details that the Nokia 9 will come with all the cellular frequency bands which will make it compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile.
