We have read about the latest rumours flooding the internet, but now Nokia has decided to take the gloves off as they have finally launched their latest smartphone range — Nokia 6 for Rs. 14,999, Nokia 5 at Rs. 12,899 and Nokia 3 for Rs. 9,499. These are Nokia’s first range of smartphones in India ever since Microsoft and the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer parted ways. Facilitating distribution will be 400 Nokia dealers across the country. The company also has an exclusive partnership with Amazon India for online sales.
HMD Global, the company that develops and markets smartphones and feature phones under the “Nokia” brand, had earlier revealed that these smartphones are based on the Android operating system and all three phones will run on stock Android 7.0 Nougat. Nokia 6 will be available in two trims. The more powerful all-black version, the Arte Black Limited Edition, gets a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal space with an option to expand the memory up to 128GB via microSD card slot. While the regular Nokia 6 has 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal space, which can be further expanded up to 128GB thanks to the microSD card slot. Both these dual-SIM phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, get sculpted Corning Gorilla glass and come with 3,000 mAh battery. They also boast of 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels. They get a 16-megapixel front camera with dual tone flash and 8-megapixel front selfie snapper. Both the Nokia 6 variants also come equipped with Dolby Atmos technology for better sound effect.
The Nokia 5, like Nokia 6, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, gets Corning Gorilla glass and has 3,000 mAh battery, but this dual-SIM phone sports a 5.2-inch HD screen with 1280×720 pixels. It gets 2GB RAM and 16GB internal space, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. The primary camera of the Nokia 5 is 13-megapixel and the front camera is 8-megapixel.
While both Nokia 5 and 6 are made from a solid block of aluminium, Nokia 3 is made of polycarbonate material. It gets a 5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280×720 and is powered by MTK 6737 processor. It is also equipped with Corning Gorilla glass and gets 8-megapixel cameras in both rear and front. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal space, which can be expanded to 128GB via microSD card.
HMD Global last month had launched the iconic Nokia 3310 at Rs 3,310.
