Ahead of launch, OnePlus 5T has received over 1.1 million consumer interest on e-tailer Amazon.in. The new flagship from China’s OnePlus will be officially launched in New York with a simulcast product launch event at select PVR theaters across five cities in India, starting from 9:30 p.m. onwards.
OnePlus 5T has witnessed huge interest from technology fans since the ‘Notify Me’ subscription went live on November 7. The consumer interest will continue to soar, as the launch inches closer, before the product goes on early access sale for Prime Members on Amazon.in at 4:30 p.m. on November 21, 2017, Amazon said.
The smartphone is expected to come with 16MP and 20MP dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB/8GB of RAM, 64GB/128GB of storage and will offer 3,450mAh battery.
E-tailer Oppomart earlier revealed OnePlus 5T to be 6-inch screen smartphone having 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The new aspect ratio would make the screen of 5T look longer, similar to Galaxy S8 or LG G6.
Ending speculations surrounding wireless charging support in OnePlus’s next flagship device OnePlus 5T, CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the smartphone will not have wireless charging and will have Dash Charge as seen in previous OnePlus devices.
“Our focus is on producing superior product experiences. Every feature, removed or added, is based on our understanding of user needs. For the time being, we think it’s best to stick with the headphone jack,” added Lau.
