OnePlus knows how to create a hype before the global launch of its new smartphone, OnePlus 6, on May 16, and India and China launch a day after. Continuing to bombard social media with a slew of images and videos of the OnePlus 6, the latest image shows that the new smartphone will have thin-bezels or sport bezel-less View Full display.
Love it or hate it, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has officially confirmed on OnePlus' forums that the OnePlus 6 will get a notch and it will be placed at the top of the screen, like the iPhone X. Lau further said that the notch would house the camera, along with the earpiece, an ambient light sensor and an LED notification light.
Lau has also confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will come with an all-glass design as it looks and feels premium.“OnePlus 6's glass design is centred around creating a sense of value and premium hand-feel,” Lau wrote. “People relate deeply to the products they use. We gave a lot of thought to how users should feel when they use the OnePlus 6. The advantages of glass over metal are manifold: glass communicates a transparent, bright, and pure feeling. The way glass transforms under different lighting is a particularly important challenge—the OnePlus design team tested over 70 glass prototypes before selecting the best one.”
The OnePlus 6 will offer an 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage variant, which will be a first for the company. This new flagship smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 processor and will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack. It is also expected to get a bigger 6.2-inch screen as compared to the 5T's 6.01-inch display. The OnePlus 6 will also feature wireless charging.
The One Plus 6 will be exclusively sold at Amazon India and along with this, the Chinese firm will also launch the special edition OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition as well.
