OnePlus 7T will come with an upgraded Warp Charge 30T technology. Company CEO Pete Lau has claimed that the tech can charge the phone at 23 per cent faster speeds, even while using the device.

OnePlus 7T smartphone is now official and the company has already announced the key features of the phone. In the latest development, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has delved out information about the charging technology of the phone. The executive says that the company will introduce an upgraded Warp Charge 30T tech, which can charge the phone at 23 per cent faster speeds as compared to the previous tech.

‘We believe that Warp Charge 30T offers the best charging solution for real-world usage. You can charge the phone at 23 per cent faster speeds, even while using the device,’ TechRadar quoted Lau as saying. When asked why didn’t the company bring this tech in the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, he said, ‘We’re not going to introduce something for the sake of being first. We took time to refine and iterate, continuously testing until we were able to achieve something we were proud to provide to our fans.’

According to the executive, unlike most fast charging solutions, Warp Charge 30 ‘handles the power management inside of the power brick instead of inside the phone.’ he added that this process keeps the phone cool, which allow for fast charge rates even when the phone is in use. The Warp Charge tech delivers 6A at 5V to attain 30W charging speed. On wireless charging, Lau said, ‘Wireless charging doesn’t currently offer the fast experience that we are comfortable adding to our devices.’

The OnePlus 7T has already been listed on Amazon India website. The e-commerce platform has also made live a ‘Notify me’ button. Those who want to get regular updates about the launch event (scheduled for September 26), can press it and fill in the details. The OnePlus 7T will come with a 4th generation matte-frosted glass. The phone is expected to come equipped with a full-HD+ 6.4-inch 90Hz display. It is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. Alongside the OnePlus 7T, the company will also launch the OnePlus TV.
