For the first time Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has ventured into the TV segment and launched two new smart TVs -- the OnePlus TV 55 Q1 and the OnePlus TV 55 Q1 Pro. Both the TVs come with 4K QLED....

Ending round the clock rumours, China’s OnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus TV line-up in India that not only brings with it a premium design but also stands tall on audio quality and offers a curated streaming experience. The line-up includes the OnePlus TV 55 Q1 and the OnePlus TV 55 Q1 Pro. Both devices will first be available in India.

The TV body boasts a slim unified profile with a nearly bezel-less screen and a moving sound bar.

OnePlus TV Specs

The OnePlus TV’s 55-inch sports a 4K QLED display offering a high colour range of NTSC 120 per cent. The TV supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ which means images displayed on the OnePlus TV are constantly optimised on a scene-by-scene (and even frame-by-frame) basis, to ensure smooth and detailed rendering and high colour accuracy across all content displayed.

Additionally, the OnePlus TV houses a powerful Gamma Colour Magic chipset to help with picture processing and rendering. According to OnePlus, the Gamma Colour Magic chipset works by using a collection of carefully optimised algorithms to deliver smoother and more natural viewing experience.

As you can see in the image above, the remote is minimalistic and has five buttons and a D-pad on the upper part for navigation. There is also a Google Assistant button and interestingly, there is a USB Type-C port on the bottom.

For audio, the OnePlus TV comes with a powerful 50W 8-speaker setup consisting of four full-range front-facing speakers, two front-facing tweeters for the highs and two rear subwoofers for the bass. OnePlus also partnered with Dolby Laboratories to bring Dolby Atmos sound for a cinematic experience. The OnePlus TV runs on Android and supports Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

The TV is also bundled with the OnePlus Connect app that provides users with additional control such as TypeSync, Quick App Switch, Smart Volume Control, and to capture screenshots while a content is being played.
