Oppo has unveiled the Ace2 5G smartphone with 40W AirVOOC wireless flash charging, flagship Snapdragon 865 processor and up to 12GB RAM. The company claims that the smartphone provides e-sports level gaming experience with its hardware and features. The phone is unveiled in China and there’s no news on its India debut.
Oppo Ace2 comes in three variants. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3999 (approx Rs 43,000), 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for which users have to pay CNY 4399 (approx 47,500), and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant that will cost CNY 4599 (approx Rs 50,000). The phones will go on sale on April 20 in grey, purple and silver colour options.

The Oppo Ace2 sports a 6.55-inch display with 90Hz refresh rate, up to 180Hz touch sampling rate, 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut covered and 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The display is made of E3 emitting material, and has HDR10+ certification. As mentioned, it comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS3.0 storage.
Oppo says that the phone has 4D constant cooling technology, which is basically a combination of a large T-shaped thermal board and heat storage materials for heat dissipation. The device also comes with 4D Vibration 2.0 for a vivid gaming experience. In terms of sound, the handset comes with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos tech.
The phone sports a quad-rear camera with a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an 8MP ultrawide-angle lens and two portrait cameras. On the front is a 16MP snapper with an Ultra Night Mode.
The Oppo Ace2 is equipped with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging tech, 40W AirVOOC wireless flash charging and 10W wireless reverse charging, which is currently the fastest charging combination in a smartphone. Oppo claims that the phone can deliver two hours of gaming in five minutes of charging. It also says that the phone’s 4,000mAh can be fully charged in 56 minutes.
