The Oppo Reno5 5G was first unveiled in China last month, but it's in India where the device rolls out first. Besides that, the Reno5 5G becomes the very first smartphone to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset in the country.
The smartphone is built around a 6.55-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080-pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display gets a hole-punch cutout at the top left corner, which houses a 32MP selfie shooter.
At the rear is a quad-camera setup, which includes a 64MP primary lens, joined by an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. Moreover, the Dimensity 1000+ SoC is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The smartphone runs on Android 11 with the brand's ColorOS 11 skin on top, and it features a 4,350mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC fast-charging support via USB-C. It also gets an in-display fingerprint scanner but misses out on a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Oppo Reno5 5G price in India is set at ₹35,990 for the sole 8GB+128GB variant. It will be available in two colours – astral blue and starry black –starting January 22, exclusively on Flipkart, Oppo's online store, and major retail outlets.
