The Guwahati finals of the PUBG Mobile India Tour 2019 will be held at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in the city, Assam on September 8. This is the second chapter of the tournament, and is aimed at building an eSports ecosystem focusing efforts towards Tier 2 cities. For this installment, the top 20 squads of India -- which are registered from Group B -- will battle it out for a spot in the grand finals.

The PUBG Mobile India Tour’s Guwahati chapter has had over 400,000 games played across in-game and online qualifiers in three rounds, featuring some of the top PUBG Mobile clans such as 8BitRampage, featuring local boy 8Bit Beg4Mercy and INS clan. The Group B pool witnessed over 50,000 squads across the country. The tournament was open to all Indian residents who had a PUBG Mobile account above the level 20 mark and registered from Group B. Over 2,000 teams were selected for the Playoffs, from which the 20 best teams will fight it out at the Guwahati Finals. 

Sponsored by Oppo, the second leg follows the Jaipur edition of the event that concluded on August 25. In this leg, top 20 teams registered from Group A competed and Rising Hydra grabbed the top spot along with three other teams: Team Titans, Kill2Survive and Revenge Esports. These teams will compete in the grand finals which will take place in Kolkata in October where the finalists stand a chance to win a total prize pool of Rs 1.5 crore.

For those who want to catch the live action of the Guwahati finals, free entry on a first come first serve basis is available with gates open at 9am. Viewers at home can follow the action on PUBG Mobile’s official YouTube channel and Facebook page. Live broadcast starts at 11am. The event builds on the success of the PUBG Mobile India Series and Club Open held last year in October. It was aimed at building an esports platform for college students.
