The Realme Buds Air 2, as implied by the name, are the successor to the original Realme Buds Air TWS earbuds from late-2019. Over its predecessor, the Buds Air 2 get Active Noise Cancellation and better battery life.
The design of the Realme Buds Air 2 is a complete departure from its predecessor. The charging case of Buds Air 2 looks identical to that of the Buds Air Pro. The earbuds themselves now feature an in-ear design with silicone tips for better passive noise cancellation.
However, that's not all, for the Realme Buds Air 2 now also feature Active Noise Cancellation up to 25dB, which the company says is enough to filter out most low-frequency sounds. Moreover, the buds also feature 10mm 'Diamond-class Hi-Fi' drivers, which offer richer bass, clearer sound, and better frequency response thanks to Diamond-like Carbon (DLC) coating on the diaphragm.
Besides that, the Realme Buds Air 2 also come with dual microphones for noise cancellation during calls, a transparency mode allowing users to listen to the surroundings, a dedicated gaming mode, and a new Bass Boost+ mode. The earbuds also have wear detection and touch controls.
The Buds Air 2, according to Realme, should last for around 5 hours of music playback on a single charge with ANC turned off. The charging case, which can be charged via USB-C, increases the endurance of the Buds Air 2 to up to 25 hours with ANC turned off and up to 22.5 hours with ANC turned on.
Lastly, the Realme Buds Air 2 price in India is set at ₹3,299. The earbuds will go on sale starting March 2 on Flipkart and Realme's online store in two colours – closer white and closer black.
