After Realme launched the Realme X2 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, it was rumoured that the company was working on a phone called Realme X2 Pro. It is now confirmed that the phone is in the making and will come equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus processor. The development was confirmed by a company executive on Chinese social media website Weibo.
As per a post by Xu Qi Chase, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Realme will launch its ‘first product’ with Qualcomm ‘Snapdragon 855 Plus soon’, and its code name is Super Warrior (translated via Google Translate). What’s more interesting is that the executive uploaded the post via a phone called ‘Realme X2Pro Super Samurai’ -- a striking resemblance with the phone he is talking about.
Meanwhile, Realme fans have asked the executive to consider some requests. In the comments section, people have requested for the 65W fast-charging from the mother company Oppo and about 4,500 mAh battery. Currently, the reports only point towards launch in China, and there is information on when the phone will launch in India.
As far as Indian market is concerned, Realme recently launched the Realme XT, its first smartphone with a 64MP camera, in the country. The Realme XT sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It runs ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie.
The handset sports a quad rear camera module that consists of a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens. The 64MP sensor is complemented by an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is a 16MP shooter. The realme XT houses a 4,000mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support.
