Xiaomi is set to host its Smarter Living event in India on April 23. The show will witness the launch of multiple smart devices, including the Redmi Buds 5A and the Pad SE. The new wireless earbuds are confirmed to feature two colour options: white and black, and have an in-ear design with a stem. It will include features like active noise cancellation (ANC) and Google Fast Pair. Although exact details will be given closer to the launch, the upcoming Buds 5A will probably be a scaled-down version of the Redmi Buds 5, which cost Rs 2,999. It comes in three colour options: Fusion White, Fusion Purple, and Fusion Black. These earphones are dust and water-resistant, with an IP54 rating and Bluetooth 5.3 connection. It has 12.4mm dynamic speakers with ANC up to 46dB and a frequency response rate of 20Hz to 20kHz. Notably, the Redmi Pad SE will also go on sale at the event. The India-specific Redmi Pad SE is expected to match its international counterpart in specifications. Therefore, you can expect the same colour options such as green, grey, and lavender to be offered. On the design front, the model will likely remain unchanged, with a sleek, unibody aluminum alloy design as the European version. It will have an 11-inch full-HD+ (1,900 x 1,200 pixel) LCD screen certified by TÜV Rheinland for reduced blue light emissions, and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The tablet will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC processor.
Although the price is unknown at this time, industry reports indicate that the tech giant may introduce the model at a competitive price to grow its market reach.
The 4GB + 128GB version of the tablet costs EUR 199 (approximately Rs 18,000) in select European areas. On the other hand, the 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB editions are priced at EUR 229 (roughly Rs 20,800) and EUR 249 (about Rs 22,600), respectively.
