Home grown handset maker Intex Technologies today launched a selfie-centric dual camera smartphone "ELYT Dual" at Rs 6,999. The device is available on both online and offline channels.

The smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display and comes with a 2.5D curved glass. There is a dual camera (8MP+2MP) setup at front along with 8MP rear camera with flash. The camera modes include bokeh effect, background change effect, 3D noise reduction (3D NR).

The ELYT Dual is packed with "Spy Cam" that allows users to discreetly click images which are saved later right in the gallery without anyone's knowledge. Dermabrasion feature allows user to remove uneven lines scars and even acne from skin.

The smartphone is powered by 1.3 GHz quad core processor paired up with 2GB of RAM. The device offers 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB.

The device houses 2,400mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 OS Nougat. The smartphone is pre-loaded with applications such as "DataBack" app that provides up to 500MB free data back to the users per month for free.

According to a report in ET, Intex is eyeing Rs 4200 crore revenue by the end of this fiscal year through March 2018, which is roughly four per cent lower as compared to a year earlier which saw a 30 per cent on-year slump.

Owing to demonetisation and the entry of Reliance Jio Infocomm, the company’s sales fall 30 per cent to Rs 4,364.08 crore in the year ending March 2017. Net profit declined 17 per cent to Rs 127.3 crore.
