SKAGEN, a brand inspired by the Danish coastal town, has unveiled the Falster 3 smartwatch in India. The company also announced a partnership with X by KYGO – a premium audio accessories and lifestyle brand by Norwegian DJ, songwriter and producer, Kygo. As a part of this collaboration the Falster 3 will sport four styles inclusive of a limited edition style designed in partnership with X by KYGO brand.
Powered with Wear OS by Google, the Falster 3 has a swim proof touchscreen and smart features including, heart-rate tracking, Google Assistant, smartphone notifications, activity tracking, Google Pay, GPS and more. Choose from time- or function-based displays for easy access to your favorite features, and add your favorite third-party apps from the Google Play store.
The company claims that there is a battery-efficient dial design that provides up to 24 hours of use on a single charge. It comes with the interchangeable heavy gauge stainless steel-mesh strap for a customised look. Each watch comes with a magnetic charger. The watch will be available at all leading retail channels for Rs 21,995.
Speaker: With the addition of the speaker, users can now take calls on their smartwatch. Its parent company, Fossil Group, has developed a proprietary app allowing iPhone users to answer tethered calls — making this one of the first Wear OS by Google devices with this capability. Users can listen to sound alerts for notifications, alarms & timers, hear responses from the Google Assistant, use Google Translate to listen to translation, play third party music directly from watch and answer tethered calls directly from watch.
Extended Battery Mode: Fossil Group has developed a proprietary smartwatch experience that offers four battery life presets. The mode can help users extend battery to multiple days on a single charge. ‘Daily Mode’ allows users to experience most features enabled, such as always-on screen.
‘Custom Mode’ allows users to easily manage battery optimisation settings themselves, and ‘Time-Only Mode’ gives users additional hours when the watch has a low battery or if they choose to use the smartwatch to only tell time. From the home screen on your watch, users can swipe down from the top and tap the battery icon to choose the mode that’s right for them.
Tiles: Tiles provide a quick way to view information. Users can check their progress of fitness goals, plan trips, check heart rate, follow the news, and set a timer.
The smartwatch has 8GB storage and 1GB RAM. Features familiar from previous generations include heart rate tracking, untethered GPS, NFC for Google Pay, and Rapid Charging technology. There is Cardiogram, a digital companion for your heart health, that SKAGEN will auto-install. Cardiogram visualises heart rate data into interactive charts that can be tagged with activities from your day, helping you identify what could contribute to spikes and dips in your heart rate.
