Tech giant Sony announced new BRAVIA OLED A8F 4K TV series that comes with minimalistic one slate design and Acoustic Surface sound technology which means the sound comes directly from the screen itself.
The new A8F series inherits Sony’s 4K HDR picture processor-X1 Extreme, and with over eight million self-illuminating, individually controlled OLED pixels, the A8F series brings a significantly enriched visual experience with great black levels and a wide viewing angle.
Taking advantage of the OLED’s backlight-less structure, Sony developed the Acoustic Surface Technology which can emanate sound directly from the screen itself. An integrated subwoofer is situated behind the TV to provide deep, powerful bass for all movie experiences.
The TV series sports TRILUMINOS Display that according to Sony excels at reproducing reds, greens and blues; colours that are notoriously difficult for TVs to display accurately.
The TV uses 4K X-Reality PRO to produce details in images. The new A8F runs on the Android TV version 7.0 with Sony’s exclusive user interface. Sony’s Android TV lets one explore the world of movies, music, photos, games, search, apps and more. With Chromecast built-in, one can easily send content from the smartphone or tablet to the TV. With access to Google Play, user can enjoy the favourite movies, TV shows, and games on TV.
The series comes with dedicated direct access buttons for Netflix and Google play Store. The TV supports Dolby Vision, HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma and Dolby Vision.
