Japanese tech giant Sony today announced “Master Series” comprising A9F BRAVIA OLED TV. The A9F BRAVIA OLED TV has over eight million self-illuminating pixels which are individually controlled by the new X1 processor to give you great contrast levels, depth and textures for a view that’s remarkably real.

While the 55-inch KD-55A9F is priced at Rs 3,99,990, the 65-inch will cost Rs 5,59,990. These newly launched models will be available across Sony Centres and major electronic stores across India, starting September 20 onwards.

At the demo zone, the X1 Ultimate Picture Processor intelligently detect and analysed each object in the picture through Sony’s new Object-based Super Resolution mechanism for exceptional accuracy and detail. Also, the Object-based HDR remaster has been notably updated from the previous generation and now allows each object to be remastered individually for better depth, accurate texture and all-in-all more realistic picture.

The A9F series comes with an improved Acoustic Surface Audio+ with an additional actuator in the centre of the screen and an extra subwoofer channel, resulting in a 3.2 channel sound system. The new series also has a TV centre speaker mode that allows the Acoustic Surface Audio+ to be used as the centre speaker of a home theatre system which further enables users to hear dialogue, vocals and instruments with clarity.

Exclusively for MASTER series, in conjunction with Netflix, Sony is now introducing “Netflix Calibrated Mode” specially developed to mirror the same picture quality as a studio evaluation master for TV, in order to preserve the artists’ creative vision and intent.

The A9F OLED TV also packs Pixel Contrast Booster, which is Sony’s original panel controller for OLED. It maximises the dynamic range by widening the area of colour reproduction at high brightness resulting in enhanced pictures with extra detail and texture.

Running on Android 8.0 Oreo, the newly launched TVs have a built-in microphone and supports Google Assistant that allows one to simply speak to the TV to find what user quickly wants, or one can ask it to play TV shows, movies, and more.
