Sony India today launched Xperia XZ2 smartphone that comes with world’s first 4K HDR movie recording support along with the full-HD 960fps super slow motion video recording.
Powered by Motion Eye camera, the smartphone uses HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) format for 4K video that allows the camera to great contrast, detail and true to life colours. Other features include predictive capture with motion and smile detection, auto-focus burst and predictive auto-focus.
The Xperia XZ2 features fluid 3D glass surface creating a seamless form that’s comfortable in your hand and has 5.7-inch HDR full-HD+ 18:9 display. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is IP65/IP68 certified to withstand water splashes and spills.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor and 3,180mAh battery. Xperia’s useful battery features are also included such as Smart Stamina, STAMINA mode, plus Battery Care and Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology which help the battery stay healthy to give you a longer battery lifespan. Xperia XZ2 supports wireless QI technology which ensures effortless charging.
The Xperia XZ2 is equipped ARCore and Google lens to provide consumers true virtual world experience. ARCore is a development platform for building augmented reality apps (AR apps) for Android mobile devices. Google Lens allows AI to recognise what you photographed using the camera, search for and display related information, recognise characters, capture them as text, and translate. With Google Lens, you can copy and paste text, find products online, learn about landmarks, add events to your calendar, look up movie posters, identify popular plants and animals, and more.
The Xperia XZ2 has 19MP rear camera with wide f2.0 aperture and a 5MP front camera with a wide angle lens.
The Xperia XZ2 will be available in select Sony Centres and select mobile stores in India at Rs 72,990, starting from August 1.
