Xiaomi 100W Super Charge Turbo charges smartphone faster than Oppo SuperVOOC

The new Super Charge Turbocharging technology from Xiaomi is also the world’s first flash charging with 100W power support, which is twice as powerful as OPPO’s SuperVOOC technology.

China’s Xiaomi has claimed that its upcoming 100W Super Charge Turbo technology can charge the smartphones faster than Oppo’s SuperVOOC and Huawei’s SuperCharge. The 100W Super Charge Turbo is first flash charging solution from the company and is twice as powerful as Oppo’s SuperVOOC 50W. The latter charges a 3,730mAh battery in nearly 35 minutes, while Xiaomi’s Super Charge Turbo technology can charge a 4,000mAh battery in just 17 minutes.

Lin Bin, Xiaomi’s Co-founder and President, has shared a video of the Super Charge Turbo technology on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The video clearly shows Xiaomi’s Super Charge Turbo in action charging a 4,000mAh smartphone from dead to 100 per cent in just 17 minutes.

While Redmi’s – Xiaomi’s spin-off brand – Head Lu Weibing has announced that the company will soon start the mass production of Super Charge Turbo technology, the exact date is yet not known.

Xiaomi is also set to launch Black Shark 2 gaming phone in India that’ll come with the Snapdragon 855 chipset clubbed with 10GB or 12GB of RAM. The company will introduce a new Liquid Cool 3.0 technology with a large cooling pipe to dissipate heat and keep the smartphone cool during extended gaming sessions. There will also be a 27W fast charging support.
