The Xiaomi Mi 10 is all set to be launched on May 8 in India, the company has officially announced on its social media platform. As per the tweet made by the company's official account, the launch will take place through a Livestream event, which was expected given the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mi 10 was previously expected to be launched on March 31 (as we reported earlier), but the event was postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, given the fact that the Home Ministry has now relaxed restrictions on e-commerce sites, allowing them to deliver non-essential goods in Green and Orange zones starting today, Xiaomi has decided to launch its smartphone this Friday.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 was launched in China in February, and it features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,340 pixels) curved AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It gets a punch-hole cutout for the 20MP selfie shooter, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a Snapdragon 865 5G chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Moreover, it gets a quad-camera setup at the rear, featuring a 108MP main camera, a 13MP wide-angle lens, and two 2MP sensors.

It is backed up by a 4,780mAh battery with 30W fast charging support via a USB-C port and 30W wireless charging. On top of that, the India-spec variant could also come with dual-SIM support and 10W reverse wireless charging. Additionally, the Mi 10 will also come with an ad-free MIUI 11 skin on top of Android 10.

The Xiaomi Mi 10 prices are expected to be revealed this Friday. If anything, expect the Xiaomi Mi 10 to be priced in the same segment as the OnePlus 8 Pro.
