Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi today announced a new range of smart TVs along with a few smart home products. The Mi TV 4X 65-inch is the flagship product of the new Mi TV 4X series that comes with a large 65-inch HDR LED display with Xiaomi’s in-house VPE (Vivid Picture Engine) technology. Other TVs in the range include a Mi TV 4X (50) and a Mi TV 4X (43).
These new Mi TVs come with a redesigned version of PatchWall based on Android 9 Pie, and have Netflix and Amazon Prime integrated out of the box. These TVs also include Google’s Data Saver Mode.
The company also announced a new Mi Smart Water Purifier (RO+UV) and Mi Smart Band 4, which is successor to the Mi Band 3. A new product in the smart home lighting category – Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 was also announced.
The Mi TV 4X (65) sports a 4K 10-bit HDR display with an all-new full-metal design with thin bezels complementing the ultra-bright display. There are 20W stereo speakers that also support Dolby Audio and DTS-HD sound technology.
The Mi TV 4X (50) and Mi TV 4X (43) also sport 4K 10-bit HDR displays and come with the same 20W stereo speakers with support for DTS-HD.
The new generation of Mi TVs are powered by a new and refined version of PatchWall based on Android 9 Pie and supports Google Assistant. With the data saver, you can count data consumed for individual apps, and also cast locally and wirelessly to the TV without the need for an internet connection.
Successor the Mi Band 3, the Mi Smart Band 4 is packed with new features, including a full touchscreen colour AMOLED display, new smart actions and 5ATM water resistance.
The fitness tracker sports a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED display that now also allows you control music apart from just displaying notifications. Along with the ability to track your running, the Mi Smart Band 4 can now track swimming with automatic stroke recognition and promises a battery life of up to 20 days.
The Mi Motion Activated Night Light 2 is a versatile night lamp that automatically turns on upon detecting motion. It sports two brightness settings and conserves energy by shutting off in 15 seconds, if no motion is detected.
