Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20 launched in India

Featuring the new pop-up camera along with an AMOLED horizon screen, as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor, the Redmi K20 Pro and the Redmi K20 offers cutting-edge technology.

Xiaomi for the first time in India announced its flagship ‘K’ series including the Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones.

Both, the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro feature a 6.39-inch 19.5:9 full HD+ AMOLED horizon display with minimal bezels on all sides. To maximise the screen ratio to 91.9 per cent, Xiaomi for the first time has opted for a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. The Horizon AMOLED display comes with 7th generation in-display fingerprint scanner and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both phones.

The pop-up camera also has a LED that sits on top and the pop-up mechanism is tested to work at least 300,000 times. At the back, the Redmi K20 series comes with an AI triple camera setup, comprising of a 48MP main camera, 8MP telephoto and a 13MP wide-angle.

The smartphone is powered by a huge 4,000mAh battery, which Xiaomi claims can last up to 2 days in regular usage conditions. Both the phones come with USB Type-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack and fast-charge support.

The Redmi K20 Pro fuelled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform based on 7nm architecture. The Redmi K20 Pro is available in two storage variants -- 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. The smartphone is also equipped with a high-res DAC that gives Redmi K20 Pro the ability to playback lossless audio (up to 24-bit, 192KHz). There is also a dual GPS antennas to ensure pinpoint GPS accuracy. Redmi K20 Pro supports 27W ‘SonicCharge’ and comes with an 18W charger in the box, with an option for users to purchase a 27W SonicCharge adapter from Mi.com.

The Redmi K20 is one of the first phones to be launched with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 SoC. The Redmi K20 features a similar AI triple rear camera arrangement as Redmi K20 Pro, with a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor. The Redmi K20 comes in two storage variants -- a 6GB/64GB starting variant, and a 6GB/128GB. It supports 18W fast charging and comes with 18W charger right out of the box.

The Redmi K20 Pro is launched at Rs 27,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant and Rs 30,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant. The Redmi K20 is launched at Rs 21,999 for the 6GB+64GB variant and Rs 23,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant.

Both phones will go on sale starting July 22, 12 p.m. onwards on Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Homes.
