Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro with quad-camera setup launched in India

The Redmi Note 6 Pro sports a contemporary arc design and comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, 4,000mAh battery, and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi today launched Redmi Note 6 Pro – it’s first quad-camera phone in India. There is a 20MP + 2MP AI dual camera on the front and a 12MP + 5MP AI dual camera setup on the rear with large 1.4µm pixel.

The company has also refined AI Portrait Mode 2.0 and now you to apply dynamic bokeh effects including effects like Light trails and incredible Studio Lighting to your images. You can choose up to six different light trail effects for your photos shot on Portrait mode.

According to Xiaomi, the 20MP primary selfie camera on the Redmi Note 6 Pro also features 4-in-1 Super Pixel utilising Pixel Binning technology to combine 4 pixels to form resulting pixels with 1.8um size helping you to take better selfies, even in low-light. However, how well the function works in real time, will update you in our detailed review soon.  The selfie camera is also come equipped with AI scene detection with intelligent scene detection and real-time optimisation for 12 categories.

The smartphone features 6.26-inch full-HD+ IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. Complementing the all-round package is a 2+1 hybrid slot, allowing easy memory expansion and carrier selection. And the support for dual VoLTE ensures that you’re are covered on the connectivity front as well.

Redmi Note 6 Pro will run on MIUI 10 out of the box based on Android Oreo.

Redmi Note 6 Pro comes in Black, Rose Gold, Blue and Red colours, and in 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB variants, priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,999, respectively.

For the first time in history, Redmi Note 6 Pro will go on a Black Friday sale across Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home on November 23, starting 12 p.m. onwards at an introductory price of Rs 12,999 for 4GB + 64GB variant and Rs 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB variant. There would be additional surprise sale on November 23 and details would be shared at 12 noon on the same day, the company said.

Reliance Jio will is offering a cashback of Rs 2,400 and up to 6 TB of Jio 4G data.
