Xiaomi kicked off the RedmiBook 14 in the Chinese homegrown market in May 2019 and a new report from Slashleaks suggests that the company intends to launch the same in India next month. It was launched in China at a starting price of RMB 3,999 (approximately ₹42,720) for the basic model which is available with 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD storage, and an Intel Core i5 processor.
Xiaomi RedmiBook 14 features a metal unibody design and the overall look mimics that of MacBook Air. The measurements of the laptop are 12.7 x 8.8 x 0.7 and it weighs 1.5kg. The RedmiBook 14 consists of a 14-inch screen with a display panel of 1920 x 1080P FHD IPS. Xiaomi has used AMD Ryzen 3000 series processors for the models in China and they might just replicate the same for the Indian market.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, the notebook offers 2 USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, an HDMI interface one HDMI port, an audio combo jack, and a power Interface.
The Chinese company claims that RedmiBook 14 has a battery life of 10 hours and an in-built cooling system. The RedmiBook 14 houses the 10th generation Intel Core processor family. The laptop is available with either Core i5 or Core i7. The Core i5 model with 512GB SSD storage is for is priced at RMB 4,499 (roughly ₹48,060), and the Core i7 model with 512GB is priced at RMB 4,999 (roughly around ₹ 53,400).
