WhatsApp users can directly share their WhatsApp status on Facebook Stories, and the feature is now rolling out to all users. Further, WhatsApp has also released two more features in beta version.

Facebook Inc. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has already announced his plans to integrate Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp apps together, but till that is done, the company is trying to connect all the three platforms in various ways. Until now, people could share their Instagram status directly on Facebook by linking both accounts. In the latest development, Facebook has now rolled out the same functionality to WhatsApp as well. This means that people can now directly share their WhatsApp statuses on Facebook. Apart from this, a few features have also been rolled out in the beta version 2.19.260 of Android.

As you can see in the images below, there are two ways you can share your WhatsApp status on Facebook. The first way is by tapping ‘Share to Facebook Story’ which appears below your status while you are posting it. In case you want to share it at a later stage, you can tap your status, and then select ‘Share to Facebook’ from the vertical ellipsis or options menu to post the same content on Facebook Story.

Now, coming to the beta updates that are now rolling out to testers on Android OS. The first one is related to Status. According to WABetainfo -- a platform that tests WhatsApp features before they are rolled out to the masses -- once the stable update is released, users will able to hide muted status updates in the app. Until now, muted status updates were coloured grey and appeared in a separate section. Now, these muted statuses will be hidden in the Muted Updates section of the Status tab (see below).

The second feature is Facebook Pay. Facebook has been rooting for this feature in India since long. WABetainfo says that Facebook Inc is developing for this feature for all its apps, including WhatsApp. As you can see in the screenshot above, WhatsApp now has a dedicated section to add a new payment method. There is no information about when these features will start rolling out to users.
