Calculated by combining all official versions of a song (including the official music video, official song used in user generated content and lyric videos), the top songs chart reflects how users are consuming music on the platform and the multiple ways artists are using YouTube to share their music. The top artists chart highlights the most popular artists on YouTube, based on the total organic views of their entire discography: official music videos, official song used in user generated content, lyric videos, and more. The top artists chart is updated weekly on Monday at 12:30 am.
The top music videos chart is about the music video experience on YouTube, highlighting the most viewed official music videos on the platform. Top Videos is updated weekly on Monday at 12:30 a.m. based on the total organic views.
