Amazon has added the new Fire TV Stick 4K to the Fire TV lineup. Priced at Rs 5,999 in India, the latest TV stick claims to be the most powerful streaming device yet, bringing close to 30 per cent more power than the previous-generation Fire TV devices. What makes it more powerful is its 1.7GHz quad-core processor which supports Wi-Fi 6 operating over both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands. This, in turn, ensures the fast streaming of 'lifelike, cinematic video content' from the comfort of your home. As the name implies, the new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K promises 4k content with UltraHD picture quality, accompanied by Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos audio.
Also, the streaming stick supports the Alexa Voice Remote, also known as the Fire TV remote. Like the remotes of Android TV streaming devices, the Alexa Voice Remote has pre-set buttons for over 12,000 applications and streaming services, including Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, Zee5, JioCinema, and Amazon's Prime Video.

Other than these applications, the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K supports free/ad-supported content from MiniTV, YouTube, and MX Player, as well as live TV channels (Discovery, Sony, News18) from DTH (direct to home) set-top-box.
With the Alexa Voice Remote, finding, launching, and controlling content are made easy. Using voice prompts, you can control the Fire TV Stick 4K and connected smart home devices. You can also create your own Alexa Home Theatre system by wirelessly connecting Echo smart speakers to the Fire TV Stick 4K through the Alexa application.
The Fire TV Stick 4K comes along with a Low Power mode. If not put to use for a set amount of time, the Amazon Fire TV will automatically go into sleep or standby mode, thereby slashing your electricity bills in the long run.

The all-new Fire TV Stick 4K will go on sale through e-commerce platforms, such as Croma, Reliance Digital, and Vijay Sales. It is now available for pre-order on Amazon.in at Rs 5,999, and will be shipped from May 13.
