OnePlus is working on a new project, which is likely to be another concept device from the company. The Chinese smartphone maker posted a short video clip on Twitter to tease this ‘special project’, which is ‘not a phone or a commercial product’. The tweet was shared by the OnePlus UK and OnePlus India handles.

‘We are working on a special project (not a phone/commercial product!) and we'd love your thoughts on it. Reply to this tweet with if you are happy to give feedback, and we will DM a small number of you some photos,’ the tweet read. The company has also shared four images that do not give any hint about the product. However, Twitterati was impatient and a few of them posted images by increasing the brightness and contrast of an image. The image looks like the internals of a machine.

At CES 2020, OnePlus showcased the Concept One phone that has three cameras on the back. The handset is equipped with a colour-shifting glass, called electrochromic glass, with organic particles. These particles create tints when subjected to a specific voltage of an electrical field. When a different voltage is applied, the light transmission properties are altered, which allows the glass to shift from transparent to translucent. This hides and reveals the triple camera setup located on the back of the phone.

OnePlus is also expected to launch the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones in the coming months. The phone is likely to come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, Android 10 out-of-the-box and Fast Charging tech. Rumours and reports suggest that the OnePlus 8 Pro will have a dual punch-hole panel and a curved display. It is said to have a quad-camera setup with three lenses, along with an LED flash arranged vertically and a fourth camera placed just below the module.
