Vivo U10 with Snapdragon 665 chipset, triple camera launched for Rs 8,990 in India

Vivo has launched the youth-centric only-exclusive smartphone, the Vivo U11, at a starting price of Rs 8,990. The phone sports a triple camera setup and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ....

In a bid to tap the Indian youth, Vivo has launched the U10 smartphone in India. The handset comes with a triple camera setup and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665AI processor. Apart from launching the phone, Nipun Marya, Director-Brand Strategy, Vivo India, told reporters that Vivo was able to grab 19.1 per cent market share in online space after the Z-Series phones were sold out on the first day of sale. He also reiterated that the company will invest Rs 7,500 crores to expand its manufacturing facility in the country, and that the phones sold here are ‘100 per cent’ made in India.

Vivo U10 price and launch offers

The online-exclusive Vivo U10 is offered in three variants: 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, which is priced at Rs 8,990, the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage that will cost customers Rs 9,990, and the top-of-the-line 4GB RAM + 64GB storage for which customers have to shell out Rs 10,990. The handset will be available in Electric Blue and Thunder Black colours options from September September 29 on Vivo India website and Amazon.in (during the Great India Amazon Sale).

As far as launch offers are concerned, customers with SBI Bank debit/credit card holders will get a 10 per cent instant discount. There is an option of No Cost EMI for up to six months via Bajaj Finserv as well as benefits worth Rs 6,000 for Jio subscribers. Those who purchase Vivo U10 will also receive Rs 750 discount on their next purchase from the Vivo India website.

Vivo U10 specifications

The Vivo U10 sports a 6.35-inch HD+ IPS Halo FullView Display with 2mm bezels. The panel offers 720x1544 pixels resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 89 per cent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the phone sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 AIE mobile platform, which is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Vivo says that the phone has a dedicated Multi-Turbo mode that enhances the performance of the phone. The Ultra Game Mode that enhances gaming experience by sub modes like Do Not Disturb Mode, and 4D Vibrations among others.

When it comes to camera, the Vivo U10 sports a triple camera setup on the back and a single shooter on the front. The triple rear camera setup includes a 13MP primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, an 8MP sensor coupled with an ultra-wide f/2.2 lens that offers 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP portrait sensor with an f/2.4 lens. On the front is an 8MP camera sensor which is situated in the waterdrop notch. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging tech support. At the event, Vivo claimed that 10 minutes of charging delivers up to 4.5 hours of talk-time. A full single charge delivers 12 hours of YouTube or 15 hours of Facebook or 7 hours of ‘uninterrupted’ run-time. The phone runs Android 9 Pie with Funtouch OS 9.1 on top.
