Ahead of Mobile World Congress 2019, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is set to launch a new smartphone V15 Pro on February 20 in India. The smartphone will feature the same pop-up camera mechanism as seen in Vivo Nex – only difference being the selfie camera will be now of 32MP as compared to 8MP in Nex.

The company announced the launch on its official Twitter handle. According to media reports, the Vivo V15 Pro will be priced between Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000, which is less compared to the Nex’s price of Rs 39,990.

Vivo's Nex was everything a futuristic phone can possibly be. There was no notch, instead, the company packed a motorised front camera that pops up from the top of the phone, when you opt for a selfie. For the time, I used the Vivo Nex, I found the mechanism to be sturdy and unlikely to break.

In December of 2018, Vivo announced to invest Rs 4,000 crore over a period of four years for opening up a new manufacturing plant on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh.

The new 169-acre land is located near to the existing 50-acre manufacturing facility that will help expand Vivo’s manufacturing capabilities.

“India is a key market for us, and today we have reiterated our commitment by entering the next phase of growth in India. We’re proud that the new plant will offer a major benefit to the surrounding area through high-quality job creation and training opportunities,” said Nipun Marya, Director-Brand Strategy, Vivo India.
