Part smartphone and part tablet, Samsung Galaxy Fold offers users an entirely new kind of mobile experience. It features innovative ways to multitask, watch videos, play games and more. Samsung claims to have subjected the device to several rounds of extensive tests in its state-of-the-art labs to make sure that the Galaxy Fold is ready to be launched on the market.

Given the smartphone’s design, a folding test was pivotal to check for the durability of the Galaxy Fold. The test took a week’s time to complete and revealed that the Galaxy Fold can outlast 200,000 folds and unfolds (or around five years of usage, if used 100 times a day).

Watch how Samsung ensures that the Galaxy Fold will be up to the task with each and every fold and unfold.

The Galaxy Fold sports a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Display that transforms into a sleek device with a cover display. The company has used a new polymer layer to create a display that’s 50 per cent thinner than a typical smartphone’s display.

The Galaxy Fold is fuelled by two batteries that are evenly placed to make the smartphone feel balanced in hands. The smartphone will come in space silver, cosmos black, martian green and astro Blue colours.

The Galaxy Fold lets you work on three apps simultaneously on the main display, giving you the freedom to surf, text, work and watch – all at the same time.
