Samsung has officially announced on X (previously Twitter) that its Galaxy F55 5G will go on sale in India soon, with a triple rear camera setup, and a vegan leather finish. The mid-range smartphone is seen in the most recent teaser with a tan, orange-coloured leather rear panel and two vertical stitches on both sides. Based on market reports, the new Galaxy F55 5G is expected to be a modified version of the Galaxy C55 5G from China. It's worth noting that the India-spec Galaxy M55 and the China-spec Galaxy C55 share many features, except the vegan leather finishes. Although there hasn't been any official announcement, the upcoming Galaxy F55 could borrow features from both Samsung handsets. Read on to find out possible features of the new Samsung Galaxy F55 5G.

According to previous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy F55 5G is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging capability. It is likely to have a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness level of 1,000 nits. The smartphone could run on One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 and come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
For photography, the mid-range Samsung smartphone is tipped to have three back cameras: an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide lens, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 50-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS) capability. There could be a 50-megapixel sensor on the front.

The price of the new Galaxy F55 5G is probably going to be in the same range as that of the Galaxy M55 5G, which recently went on sale in India for Rs 26,999 (starting). The phone will likely be introduced in May during Flipkart's Big Saving Days Sale.
