Samsung today launched Galaxy On7 Prime smartphone in India that comes with Samsung Mall – a Make in India innovation that allows consumers to shop by shooting a product on the phone’s camera. The Samsung Mall also notifies you about the offers and best online deals.
Utilising the device camera, consumers can click a picture of any product they like and using the visual search feature, Samsung Mall displays results of the similar products across online shopping sites. Samsung has partnered with Amazon, Jabong, Shopclues and Tata CliQ for Samsung Mall.
We used the feature at the demo session during the launch event by clicking an image of Fossil watch and a dress from real life, and the Samsung Mall worked like a charm by correctly identifying the products.
Consumers can also add items from multiple online shopping websites and review them later in a single cart.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will be available exclusively on Amazon.in and Samsung Shop. The first sale will be held on January 20. The 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14990 and the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is available at Rs 12990. The smartphone is launched in graphite black and champagne gold colours.
There is 3MP (f/1.9) rear camera with LED flash and a 13MP (f/1.9) front camera. Powered by a 1.6 GHz Exynos octa-core processor, the Galaxy On7 Prime offers expandable storage of up to 256 GB.
