Samsung recently announced the Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite smartphones. These devices add to the Galaxy S10 Series and the Galaxy Note 10 Series which were launched last year. Information making rounds on the internet suggests that the handsets could be launched on January 25 in India. A dedicated microsite of the Galaxy S10 Lite is already live on Flipkart, which somewhat cements the claims.

If true, we will see the debut of these smartphones about two weeks ahead of the Unpacked 2020 event. To be held in San Francisco on February 11 this year, this annual event will see the unveiling of the next S-Series of smartphones. These reports which suggest that these upcoming handsets could be online exclusives. This seems legit because Flipkart tagged the Galaxy S10 Lite as a ‘Flipkart Unique’ product on the microsite mentioned above.

Both, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and the Galaxy Note 10 Lite are the watered-down versions of their flagship siblings, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note10. Both the devices likely have similar specifications under the hood, and the difference between them is the camera setup. Both the phones sport 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display. They are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM on board, and up to 128GB storage.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy S10 Lite has a triple camera setup on the back panel in which the primary sensor is a 48MP unit with ‘Super Steady’ optical image stabilisation, the second is a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and the third is a 5MP macro sensor. There is a single LED flash, the who setup is housed in a rounded-rectangular module. The phone ships with a 4500mAh battery, and an under display fingerprint sensor.

Similarly, the Galaxy Note 10 has an in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 4500mAh battery with fast charging, a 6.7-inch Infinity-O display with and a triple rear camera setup. The camera module of the Note device is, however, a little more squarish in design owing to the placement of the sensors. It has wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras all with 12MP resolution with varying apertures. Both the phones have 32MP front cameras.
