Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 smartphones during its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. The former is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh for 12GB+256GB. It will also be offered with 512GB and 1TB storage configurations, priced at Rs 1.77 lakh and Rs 2 lakh, respectively. In contrast, the latter has a starting price of Rs 1.10 lakh for 12GB+256GB. It will cost Rs 1.23 lakh for the 512GB version. The newly announced phones boast breakthrough AI technology and enhanced performance capabilities, which would allow them to strengthen their position in the foldable smartphone segment.
For these new devices, Samsung offers a range of colour options. In addition to Crafted Black and White, which are only available online, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 can be purchased in Navy, Pink, and Silver Shadow hues. On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is available in Blue, Mint, Silver Shadow, and Yellow colours alongside an online-only Peach version.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, developed exclusively by Samsung, powers the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The chip claims superior efficiency and performance paired with 12GB of RAM. Other notable features include Samsung's Galaxy AI improvements, Google's Circle to Search, and Gemini AI chatbot. The folding devices are supported by Android 14 with Samsung's One UI 6.1.1. Notably, the smartphones will go on sale on July 24 while their pre-orders are currently underway.
The device has an external 6.3-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a pixel density of 410ppi and a resolution of 968x2,376. A 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a pixel density of 374ppi and a resolution of 1,856x2,160 is used as the internal display. The two displays offer an adaptive refresh rate that ranges from 1Hz to 120Hz.
The Samsung phone features three cameras on its back: a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera with a 123-degree field of view, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP wide-angle camera with dual pixel autofocus and optical image stabilization. A 4-megapixel camera is placed on the inner screen, and a 10-megapixel selfie camera is located on the cover display.
The device comes with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity features. It boasts a wide range of sensors like an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, e-compass, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. Further, the smartphone gets 4,400mAh battery that supports Wireless PowerShare, 25W wired charging, and Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.

The smartphone sports a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED cover display that supports a refresh rate of 60Hz and a resolution of 720x748 pixels. A 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz and a resolution of 1,080x2,640 pixels serves as its primary display.
The exterior camera configuration of the Z Flip 6 consists of a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with dual pixel autofocus and optical image stabilization. The interior display includes a 10-megapixel selfie camera. The Z Flip 6's charging capabilities, sensors and connectivity options are similar to the Z Fold 6.
