The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, has expanded its IoT product portfolio in India with the launch of the connected SpaceMax Family Hub refrigerator, which offers a huge storage capacity of 657 litres. The refrigerator comes with a 21.5-inch FHD touchscreen display paired with 25W speakers.
The SpaceMax Family Hub refrigerator has a number of cool features, which improve the overall user experience. The built-in camera equipped on the device enables the user to take a sneak peek inside the refrigerator without actually having to open it. A multi-finger swipe down enables the camera interface to open. One of the most innovative features that Samsung has added to its IoT enabled device is the Meal Planner feature, which proposes smart recipes based on the user's diet choices. The device also helps in creating food memos, and shopping lists, as it digitally labels the food with expiration dates and sets reminders.
The Home Control feature on the refrigerator permits the users to control and monitor other connected appliances, like Samsung's Galaxy smartphones and FlexWash washing machines from the screen. Further, Bixby integration on the device provides personalised information based on the user's preferences, which include quick access to weather, news, and calls. Some of the other features of the devices include rapid cooling, non-plumb dispenser, deodorising filter, and a digital inverter for up to 50% energy savings.
The SpaceMax Family Hub Refrigerator is available in Premium Black Matt finish for ₹2,19,900. You can pre-order it from Samsung.com, Reliance Digital, Croma, Flipkart, and Vijaysales. The device is available at a discounted price of ₹1,96,990 on the pre-orders till July 26. Samsung is also offering a free Galaxy Note 10 Lite and up to ₹9,000 cashback on the pre-orders. Further, it also comes with a 10-year warranty on the digital inverter technology compressor.
