Samsung has launched the world’s first modular MicroLED TV, The Wall in India. It has 0.8mm pixel pitch technology and will be available in India in 146-inch, 219-inch, 292-inch screen sizes.

Samsung has launched The Wall, the world’s first modular MicroLED display or television at a starting price of Rs 3.5 crore in India. The luxurious ‘The Wall’ has a 0.8mm pixel pitch technology and Samsung’s AI picture enhancement, which means that every video, movie, or any sporting event seen on it is colour rich. The display has a depth less than 30mm, it sports a bezel-less infinity design and comes with customisable deco frames.

The Wall price and availability

The Wall comes in several size options, that is, from 146-inch (370.8 cm) in 4K definition, 219-inch (556.3 cm) in 6K definition to 292 inch (741.7 cm) in 8K definition. It starts at Rs 3.5 crore and goes up to Rs 12 crore (exclusive of taxes). The Wall will be available in India from December 5. Those who wish to get a first-hand experience of the product can get it at Samsung Executive Briefing Centre in Gurgaon. Private viewings are available upon reservation from December 5.

The Wall specs and features

There are two models of The Wall: The Wall Luxury and the Wall Pro. The Wall Luxury is tailor-made for home cinema and gaming with ‘Ambient & Entertainment Mode’ and smart TV features. The Wall Pro aimed at high-end businesses and retail spaces. Both of these come with display controllers. The TVs have Quantum HDR technology, AI up-scaling, a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and 120Hz video rate for a rich visual experience.

The self-light emitting diodes used in The Wall have 100,000-hour lifetime, which means that it is designed to never turn off. People can place it according to a room’s interiors to work as a digital canvas. When the screen is not used, the Ambient Mode can display curated art from paintings, photographs and video art.

The Wall comes equipped with Quantum Processor Flex enabled with the AI picture quality engine. This delivers optimised picture quality scene-by-scene, regardless of the original source resolution. Quantum Processor Flex is a machine learning based picture quality engine that analyses image data to automatically calibrate the original low resolution image according to the display. It can be connected to any OS through a physical HDMI input.
